hello and welcome to my newly minted everything blog! I had a really good experience writing my greece travel blog, and wanted to broaden the topics i write about. don’t forget to read to the end for a surprise :)

why do i want to post about more than just travel??? first off, i don't go on enough trips to have consistent content. i also have a lot of other interests and sometimes need an outlet to just geek out or shout into the void. i often read the blue lug blog and appreciate how they are able to interweave bike builds, small trips, gear updates, and fun little extras all in one place, so was hoping I could capture a little of that magic here.
why blogging??? i have never been much of a social-media poster, so blog writing was a new experience for me. however, i love the flexibility and ownership that blogging provides as opposed to using a specific platform run by a lil' freak (looking at you, m*** z********* & e*** m***). plus, blogging is not only flexible for me, it allows my posts to be read on any browser without the need for making / logging in to any accounts! hashtag you're welcome.
why bear blog??? i will let the creator give you the long answer. short answer? it's lightweight, not corporate, and sustainable. imo(🍠), sites like bearblog are integral to having a free, decentralized, and interesting internet. thanks herman :)
why the name change??? i decided to move away from the name dragon's blogma because 1. it's silly, 2. the joke is hard to explain, and 3. i wanted to create a bit more of a cohesive "brand" identity, do i want to create a brand? not really. is it much easier to type and remember "melon?" probably, it's one word!! so streamlined!!
dragon's blogma is not going away, however; i will be keeping it as an archive of my greece trip and will keep a little redirect in the about section of this blog. that being said, it is likely that all new trip posts will be over here on melon industries.

なんで旅行以外を書きたいの？ まず、あまり旅行しないから、安定したコンテンツはないんだ。多くの趣味に夢中になってたから、ガス抜きが必要なんだ。よくブルーラグのブログを読んでて、自転車の組み立て、小旅行、ギアのアップデート、そして楽しいちょっとした追加情報をすべて一か所にまとめられる点がいいと思ってるから、そのマジックを少しでもここで捉えたいんだ。
なんでブログってしてるの？ あまりSNSで投稿することが好きじゃないから、ブログを書くことが新しい経験だけど、ちょっとした変人が運営する特定のプラットフォームを使うのとは対照的に(m*** z********* と e*** m*** 見てるよ)、ブログが提供する適合性と所有権が好きなんだ。其れに、ブログはぼくに便利だけでなく、どこでもどんな方法でも読めることだ！ハッシュタグナイス
なんで「bear blog」を使ってるの？ ディベロッパーに長い答えを説明してもらう。短い答えると、ぼくの意見では、「bear blog」のようなウェブサイトは、自由な分散化された興味深いインターネットを実現するために不可欠なんだ。ハーマンさん、ありがとう〜
なんでブログの名前が変わったの？ 「dragon’s blogma」は１他愛なくて、２覚えにくくて、３統一感のあるブランドを作りたかったから、その名前から離れることにした。ブランド作りたいの？あまり、、、「メロン」はもっと書きやすくて覚えやすいの？恐らく！たった一言！とても流線型！！
「dragon’s blogma」はなくなるわけじゃないけど、ギリシャの旅行の過去ログとして保存し、このブログの「アバウト」ページに少しリダイレクトしておる！ゆーて、新しい旅行の投稿はすべて、ここメロン(洒落、ごめん）に掲載される可能性がある。
